Hi everyone! I am so excited about writing this post! Not only is this my first blog post, but it is about a place that is very special to me and my family. For my first few posts on here, I wanted to share some things that were special to me, so here we are at Disney! I could go on and on about this wonderful place, but I will try to keep it as short as possible 🙂
My family and I went to Disney World in Florida this past October to celebrate my 18th birthday. I had never been to Disney World on my birthday before, so this was an extra special trip. I have grown up going to Disney World, so this place is one of my favorite childhood memories. Disney is seriously my favorite place in the world! It is not possible to be upset at Disney, there are so many exciting things happening all around you!
Another thing – Disney has their own Starbucks branded cups to use in their Starbucks locations throughout the parks! I know that most people don’t care about things like that, but if something is Instagram-picture worthy, I’m going to be taking it! Is it bad that the main reason I wanted to go to Starbucks in Disney was for the cute cup? I don’t think so.
So, I’m going to go through some of my favorite attractions and restaurants that I love, and I will make sure to include what park they are located in. My two favorite parks are of course the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, so that is where everything will be taking place. Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures of all the attractions and restaurants, so you will just have to read along!
Magic Kingdom
- Be Our Guest Restaurant – This is fairly new, but it is amazing! It is from the movie Beauty and the Beast, and there are three rooms from the movie that you can choose to eat in : The Ballroom, The Rose Gallery, and the West Wing. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants to go to while I’m at Disney! The Turkey sandwich with Dijon mayo is to die for! My absolute favorite!
- Friar Nook’s – This is just a little walk up place, but they have the absolute best macaroni and cheese with pot roast I have ever had. It is located right next to the big carousel right behind Cinderella’s castle, so you can’t miss it!
- Space Mountain – This ride is actually an older ride in Disney, but it is one of my favorites! This past time we went, I went on it about 5 times. It is a high speed roller coaster in the dark that doesn’t leave me feeling sick, so it’s awesome.
- Haunted Mansion – This attraction is by far one of my favorite childhood memories. I don’t normally like Halloween themed attractions, but this one is an exception.
- Splash Mountain – When I was little, I didn’t mind getting wet from water rides. However, now that I wear makeup, it’s not the best feeling having foundation and mascara running down your face! 😉 This is still a great ride though, and you should definitely go on it if you ever find yourself at Disney.
Epcot
- Soarin‘ – I love Soarin’! They recently updated the ride from Soarin’ over California to Soarin’ Around the World, and I love it so much more now. It is a hang gliding ride that takes you up in the air and makes you literally feel like you are “soaring” in the sky!
- The Countries – Epcot is known for their “mini” versions of the countries around the world. From Italy, to China, Norway and so many more, the countries are definitely a “must see” while in Epcot.
- Test Track – I started to like this attraction as I got a little older and didn’t get scared of fast rides 😉 The ride pretty much explains itself, it “tests” a car, seeing how it withstands storms, other bad drivers, etc… Definitely a fun ride for your time at Epcot.
Okay, so I definitely missed a lot of great things because I can’t possibly write everything that is great about Disney – there is too much! However, I did want to talk about one last thing that was extremely special. On our trip, we had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of Disney! I know what you’re all thinking…and YES we did get to go in the secret tunnels!!! It was an amazing experience for me and my family. The underground tunnels are called Utilidors, and they are there so that all the cast members and characters can get around to their appropriate places without being seen by the general public. I even saw some princesses getting ready to go up to the castle! We also got to go behind the gates and see the parade floats getting ready for the parade! The tour we took was called Keys to the Kingdom and was such an amazing experience!
Thanks for reading! I hope you all have a great weekend!
