My Favorite Eyeshadows

February 2, 2017

Hi everyone! It’s almost the weekend and I am so excited! A lot has been going on this week and I am definitely ready for the weekend. This post is going to highlight my favorite go to eyeshadows. Eyeshadow is definitely one of my favorite pieces of makeup and I sometimes can get a little carried away when I go into a makeup store! I will be talking about five different palettes today: Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Natural Eyes, and Lorac Tails & Top Hats.

All three of the Naked Palettes by Urban Decay are absolutely amazing! I wear them almost everyday. One of my favorite things about these is that they literally last all day long! When I don’t forget to put it on, I apply the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer before I apply the shadow. It is the best primer I have used so I would definitely recommend it. Anyways, the Naked Palette is full of pretty bronze shadows especially perfect for fall and winter. I have green eyes so I’m in love with light brown and bronze shimmer which is exactly what this palette offers! My favorites are Sin for my whole lid and underneath my brow bone, Sidecar for overtop a base shadow to give it a bit of a shimmer, Smog for the outer lid, and Toasted to blend it all in.

The Naked 2 palette was the first name-brand eyeshadow palette I had ever bought. I was 14 years old and had been wanting it since I saw all these you tubers use it! So, I took my Christmas money and went ahead and bought the palette! This was definitely a big purchase for me at 14…$50 for makeup was a lot but it was totally worth it! I still use it to this day 4 years later and I use it all the time. It lasts forever! My favorites are YDK for extra special occasions because it’s super sparkly. I also use Foxy for under my brow bone, Snakebite for my outer lid, and Suspect to blend it in. Definitely a great palette!

Naked 3 I would say is the most different compared to both Naked and Naked 2. The other two have more bronze and brown shades, whereas Naked 3 has pretty pink shades. I adore this palette just as much as the other two. These shades are perfect for spring and summer and really bring out the color in your eyes. My favorites are Strange for my entire lid and right up to my brow bone, Buzz and Nooner for my outer lid, and Mugshot to blend it in.

I just recently bought the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette since a friend recommended it to me. I absolutely love it! I like to keep some of my smaller palettes in my purse for touch ups and this one is perfect for that. The shades are light bronze tones with darker browns for a smokey eye. If you haven’t noticed already, I LOVE bronze shades and probably have way too many! 😉 One of my favorites in this palette is Silk Teddy. I use this for my whole lid and sometimes, I even wear it by itself because it looks great without having to do a whole eye shadow look. I would definitely recommend this palette if you’re new to getting into makeup since it gives some great instructions on how to achieve some great looks!

The last eye shadow palette I’m going to talk about is a limited edition, but I thought I would include it just incase you ever come across one. This is called Tails & Top Hats and I purchased it at Ulta during one of their Black Friday sales. Again, it consists of brown and bronze shades- okay now I really am starting to think that I have wayyy too many! Oops 😂 It’s a small palette I like to use while traveling because I don’t like to bring along all of my makeup when I go on a trip. If you ever come across this, definitely purchase it because you won’t regret it!

Shop here : Naked // Naked 2 // Naked 3 // Natural Eyes

Thanks so much for reading! I really hope you will try some of these palettes out if you haven’t already! I hope this helped if you were looking for some new eye shadows to try!

Emily
