Girls in White Dresses

February 19, 2017

I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday! I know Valentine’s Day is over, but I still wanted to show you my complete outfit look. I love dressing up, so I wore one of my favorite white dresses that I had in my closet. I also used my pink Kate Spade purse since I needed at least a little pink for Valentine’s Day 😉

I love how bold this pink bag looks with the white dress. I’m also obsessed with bows, so I fell in love with the black bow on this dress. I’m pretty sure my bow obsession comes from my mom. She used to put a bow in my hair every single day when I was little! I love the feminine look and how they complete the outfit. I’m also wearing my black lace heels that I have talked about in a previous post. These heels go with a lot in my closet, and I basically live in them! I love the simplicity of this outfit, while still being cute.

This is one of my favorite dresses, and I’m glad I could bring it back and dress it up a little differently. When it’s a little colder, I would pair it with a black or pink blazer to make it a little warmer.

This is basically what the behind the scenes of my photoshoots look like! 😂 Anything to be comfortable! Standing in the grass in high heels is not fun!

This week has been absolutely beautiful here in Michigan! High 60s and lots of sun! Makes me so excited for Spring to come! I don’t care for winter that much, especially after Christmas, so I love when we start to get warmer weather! I’m hoping it stays for a while!

Thanks so much for reading! I will be having some more photoshoots very soon so stay tuned for those! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend, and I hope you will have a great week ahead as well!

Emily

To the girl that can’t let it go, I hear you. I To the girl that can’t let it go, I hear you. I wrote a new blog post just for you, up on prettyinplaids.com now. ❤️ Forgiveness is hard. It’s hard to move past things that hurt so deeply. I hope you will find peace in this post, because I understand how difficult letting go can be.

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! This is such an honor for me. I have dreamed of this moment and I still can’t believe it actually happened. I wrote a whole blog post that’s live now, so head to the link in my bio to read it! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. You can find the magazine at places like Barnes and Noble, Target, Walmart, etc... all throughout the US and Canada. I can’t wait for you to read it! ❤️
One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ❤️
