My Easter Sunday Look

April 18, 2017

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! As I talk about what I wore, I wanted to share this with you all. Easter is one of my favorite holidays because of the true meaning behind it. Too often I’ll find myself getting caught up in finding the perfect dress and other fun Easter activities. It is at that moment that I have to take a step back and really think about what the true meaning of Easter is. It’s not about bunnies, candy, or that perfect new dress for Easter Sunday. The true meaning of Easter is about so much more than that, it’s about Jesus dying for our sins because he loved us so much, and then rising up again on the third day. “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28:6a. I am so thankful that I serve a God that is so loving. I definitely do not deserve it, but He loves me anyway. I am rejoicing that He is risen!

That being said, I definitely do love to find cute Easter dresses for this special day, it is just not the most important thing. As I was looking through all of the dresses, the gorgeous color caught my eye. I did not have a dress in this color, so it was nice to try something different. I used my hot pink Kate Spade purse with it to mix up some bright colors! I love to be bold every once in a while, otherwise, I’ll get bored with my wardrobe!

I love the cut and style of this dress as well. The lace detail is so pretty and I think it is very flattering. It can be hard to find dresses that are flattering on me since I’m not very curvy, so that’s why I love this one.

I also wore some of my favorite light pink flats. I am in love with the pearls on these shoes! I wish these were still in stock because I would buy more in different colors! I don’t normally mix different shades of pink, but I thought the shoes looked cute with the outfit.

This dress was also super affordable. I ended up getting it for about $30 with a coupon at Macy’s! I love finding cute things at a great price! I can’t wait to wear this dress different ways this Spring and Summer! I already know it’s going to be the perfect go-to dress!

Shop: Dress (also available in different colors as well!) // Purse- Similar (on sale!)

Thank you so much for stopping by! I have an exciting little announcement to share soon! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Emily

It’s hard to move past things that hurt so deeply. I hope you will find peace in this post, because I understand how difficult letting go can be.

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! This is such an honor for me. I have dreamed of this moment and I still can’t believe it actually happened. I wrote a whole blog post that’s live now, so head to the link in my bio to read it! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ❤️
