My Love for Fall

October 1, 2017

Happy October 1st! I know fall technically starts in September, but to me, it doesn’t feel like fall until October. Fall is without a doubt my absolute favorite season. I love going to the cider mill, drinking apple cider, picking pumpkins, and of course fall fashion! The colors of the changing leaves are so beautiful, I love driving around looking at them all! October is also my birthday month and I like to celebrate all month long ❤️ I’m so excited for it to get chilly outside and to go out and celebrate fall with my friends and family. My family is coming in next weekend, so I’ll be sharing our cider mill trips and fall activities with you!

Today, I’m going be sharing with you everything I love about fall, there’s so much to love! I’ll be sharing what I’ve done in past years, and also what I would like to do this year! If you love fall as much as I do, you’ll definitely want to read this post. I picked up some of my pumpkins today and I am in full fall mode.

Cider Mill Trips

The Cider Mill is one of my favorite places in the fall. The cider mill’s by me open in the Spring as well, but it’s just not the same as in the fall! I love apple cider and cinnamon sugar donuts, taking pretty photos with all of the fall foliage, and spending time with friends and family.

Last year, I visited family in Wisconsin and visited the cutest cider mills with petting farms and lots of pumpkins. I also went with a friend and took some cute fall photos, even before the blog! I’ve always loved photography, so taking pictures in the fall is something I’ve always done. I even took my senior pictures from high school in the fall because of how pretty it is!

Pumpkin Patch

Ever since we first started dating, my boyfriend and I will go to a cider mill with a pumpkin patch and pick out some pumpkins. I remember picking pumpkins on field trips in elementary school, so this is one of my favorite traditions for fall. I’m obsessed with pumpkins, maybe a little too much. 😉

Fall Baking

I love to bake, especially in the fall. My favorite things to bake are of course pumpkin flavored desserts. Pumpkin bars and pumpkin cookies are two things I LOVE in the fall. I also love cozy fall soups and my mom’s homemade hot chocolate.

Fall Fashion

Fall fashion is the best, no one can argue that! Cute plaid scarfs, riding boots, cozy knit sweaters, leggings, basically everything that makes me a basic white girl. I’ll be sharing some fall style inspiration soon once I get some posts together! I have so many cute ideas that I can’t wait to share with you!

Fall Parties/Halloween

Okay, not gonna lie, I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween. I like to dress up in a cute costume, but I’m definitely not a die hard fan of the “holiday.” That being said, I had a little fall party last year with a few of my friends. A few of us dressed up in cute costumes and we went to a street that goes all out decorating for halloween. I don’t mind looking at the decorations with friends and it can be a fun atmosphere.

Disney in Fall

Disney during the fall is so pretty. I visited last year for my birthday and got to see all of the cute fall/halloween decor that they had throughout the parks. Disney is amazing any time of year, but it was fun to see all of the Mickey shaped pumpkins everywhere and fall festivities that were taking place.

Fall Decor/Pumpkins

As I said before, I absolutely love pumpkins! I love to incorporate them into my styling of decor for fall. My mom’s love of interior design has rubbed off on me, so now whenever I’m in the store and see a cute pumpkin, I have to have it! I love cozy knitted blankets and all fall decor.

Fall Vintage Markets

You all know I love antiquing, so fall markets are a favorite of mine in the fall. There are quite a few that go on in my area so I try to get out to as many as I can! My mom and I both love vintage decor and we are able to find a lot at these markets!

I could go on further, but that’s all I’ll share about my obsession of fall for today. I hope you all have a wonderful week, and Happy October!

Emily

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
