I am so excited about this blog post. I have been working on it for a while and I finally get to share it with you! As I’ve said before, I don’t use red after Christmas in my decorating, so I’m showing some ideas of how I transitioned my decor from Christmas to winter. I love the black and white cottage style of decorating, so I’m using a lot of black and white, greens, and natural wood. If you look up Black and White Cottage Decor on Pinterest, you will fall in love with it just like me. I get my love of greens from my mom, she has them everywhere! If there aren’t greens, I think it looks so bare, so I try to add them wherever I can without it looking too cluttered. Cluttered decor never looks good, trust me. I will be showing you a few things that I used to decorate with in this post, I hope you are able to find some winter decor inspiration.
Birchwood and Mason Jar Candles
My grandma got this black crate type thing for me for Christmas and I honestly think it is one of my favorite decorative pieces that I own. I love the look of it and it will work perfectly for all seasons! I especially loved it for my winter decor with greens and some vintage music sheets. I love to add touches of vintage to my decor, and these music sheets are perfect for that! This was a very simple vignette to put together with some candles and greens. This birchwood candle is so cute and perfect for winter decor, as well and this mason jar candle.
Magnolia Tray
I love the look of galvanized metal, and with some books and added greens, this look is perfect for winter. This current tray is sold out, but you can find galvanized metal everywhere. There are many ways to decorate with galvanized metal, and this is one of the possibilities.
Chalkboard
I made this chalkboard a few months ago and I love decorating it for the different seasons. For my winter decor, I put greens on the corner. Chalkboards are so fun and easy to decorate with.
Mini Olive Buckets
I use these olive buckets all the time, and with some greens and cotton, they were perfect on this throw ladder. I love throw ladders, and a cream throw is also a perfect addition for winter decor. This is a unique way to incorporate olive buckets into your decorating.
Black Vintage Scale
I love this vintage scale so much! It is perfect for decorating all year, but I love to put greens with it for winter. You can decorate this scale so many different ways and the vintage touch will look great.
Plaid Tin Candle
This plaid candle is one of my favorite things I purchased from the magnolia line at target. I normally use plaid for Christmas, but since this was just green and black, I thought it was great for my winter decor.
Cable Knit Stocking
Stockings are mostly for Christmas, but I’ve been using mine not only in my Christmas decor, but also in my winter decor. Since it is cream, it looks great for the season without looking too “Christmasy.” I put it on a black hanging rack with my favorite buffalo check scarf.
Clock
My gray mora wall clock looks great with greens, and I love it with the lamb’s ear garland from the magnolia line at target.
Greens
I already said that I put greens everywhere for winter, and this is just an example. Greens can add so much to your decor and they will complete any style that you are going for.
I hope this post gave you some inspiration for your winter decor and how to switch it out after Christmas.

Where did you get the mini olive buckets? I need something like that.

I picked these up at a local boutique, but I think you can also find these at Hobby Lobby!
