Cable Knit, Plaid, and Duck Boots

January 21, 2018

I am so happy to finally be sharing another outfit post! It’s harder for me to get style posts taken because I have to have someone else take them for me and I actually have to attempt to look nice…🙈 I said I was going to be sharing some more winter outfits and this is a great casual look to wear. This cable knit sweater is really comfortable. Paired with a scarf, denim jeans, and duck boots, you can still look put together, despite the freezing cold.

I have worn this plaid scarf in a lot of other photos, but I love that it can be worn for fall and winter. The colors are perfect for both seasons and the brown in the scarf actually ties in really well with the brown in the duck boots. The gray in the scarf also looks great with a gray sweatshirt, sweater, or coat.

It actually wasn’t too cold in Michigan today and when I went outside, it felt great. I hoping that the weather stays this way, but unfortunately it probably won’t. I’m going to be posting some more winter outfit looks and they will probably involve more layers to keep warm!

Moving on to these duck boots….I’m OBSESSED with them! I found some really cute ones from Sperry, but I’m so glad I didn’t get them because I actually think I like these better, and I got them for less than half the price! They’re so warm as well as functional. I got a half size up just to ensure that they would still be comfortable if I wore thick socks with them.

I also had to get a picture with my dog because she also had on a cable knit sweater. 😂 I don’t think she was as happy about getting her picture taken as I was…

Shop the look: // gray sweater, gray sweater // jeans // similar duck boots, (I just bought these at Marshall’s, so check your local store for the exact ones!) // plaid scarf, similar plaid scarf //

I hope you enjoyed the post! Winter fashion can be fun to put together because I love layering. This outfit was also easy because you can wear any sweater, scarf, and boots to get a similar, comfortable look!

To the girl that can’t let it go, I hear you. I To the girl that can’t let it go, I hear you. I wrote a new blog post just for you, up on prettyinplaids.com now. ❤️ Forgiveness is hard. It’s hard to move past things that hurt so deeply. I hope you will find peace in this post, because I understand how difficult letting go can be.

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! This is such an honor for me. I have dreamed of this moment and I still can’t believe it actually happened. I wrote a whole blog post that’s live now, so head to the link in my bio to read it! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. You can find the magazine at places like Barnes and Noble, Target, Walmart, etc... all throughout the US and Canada. I can’t wait for you to read it! ❤️
One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ❤️
