10 Things to Bring when Visiting Disney

February 20, 2018

I’m going to Florida this week and will also be visiting Disney…aka my favorite place ever!! I also have another small trip that I’m currently planning that I can’t wait to share with you! Every time I visit Disney, I get to feel like a little girl again. Disney vacations are some of my fondest memories, so I’m excited to be writing some Disney related blog posts.

Disney involves A LOT of walking no matter which park you’re in. Comfort is key when visiting, so I’ll be sharing a few of the items the help me make the most of my Disney trip.

  1. Comfortable Shoes. This is kind of a given, but comfortable shoes are so important. On one of my past visits, I literally saw a girl in one of the parks with high heeled boots on. Really….SO uncomfortable! I like to wear tennis shoes and Toms, those work best for me.
  2. Yoga Pants/Leggings. Jeans can be uncomfortable to wear all day long, so one of my favorite things to wear at Disney is yoga pants. They’re comfortable and wearing them with a light sweatshirt will make the perfect outfit. Of course this all depends on what time of year you visit. If you’re visiting in the summer, the weather can be ridiculously hot and humid, so shorts would be a better option then.
  3. Portable Phone Chargers. If you’re like me, you’ll have your phone out constantly taking photos. Because of this, my phone battery dies a lot quicker, so portable chargers are a lifesaver.
  4. Cross body Bags. I prefer to not bring a bag into the parks because it’s more to carry and you have to have them checked, but if you have to, bring a lightweight cross body bag so you’re not having to hold it.
  5. Sunscreen. You’re going to be walking around all day in the sun, so sunscreen is something important to keep in mind so you don’t burn.
  6. Lightweight Clothing. Going back to clothes, lightweight clothing will make your trip so much enjoyable. It can get very hot, so the last thing you want to be wearing is thick layers.
  7. Extra Hoodies. While it might be hot during the day, it can get a little colder at night, so hoodies are a good thing to pack just in case.
  8. A Nicer Outfit. Most of your outfits will be casual and comfortable, but some restaurants at Disney might be a little more fancy, so you might want to dress up slightly more. Nothing too much, but a little nicer than a t-shirt and shorts.
  9. An Umbrella. Just in case it rains, pack a small umbrella that you can put in a small bag to bring into the parks.
  10. Your Minnie Ears. The Minnie Ears sold at Disney are about $25…so I bought them once and then wear the same ones every time. This way you can save that $25 to spend on a different souvenir that you don’t already have.

I hope you enjoyed the post! Let me know your favorite thing to do at Disney!

Emily

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! This is such an honor for me. I have dreamed of this moment and I still can’t believe it actually happened. I wrote a whole blog post that’s live now, so head to the link in my bio to read it! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ❤️
