The Perfect Easter Dress

March 29, 2018

I am so happy to finally be able to share this post with you all! I have had the privilege to work with Virginia Dare Dress Co. and share two of their gorgeous dresses. The second dress will have a separate blog post, but today, I’m going to be talking about the Samantha Wrap Dress. Not only is this one of the cutest dresses I have seen, but it is also so soft, not even kidding… I also appreciate the classy lengths that these dresses have, especially because I’m always trying to find dresses that are a little longer for church.

Shop: Samantha Wrap Dress

This dress would be a perfect option for your Easter dress. The print, color, and style are all so elegant for any special occasion. The great thing about this dress is that it is so versatile. You can dress it up for church, a holiday, or other special occasions, but it can also be worn as a casual dress with tights and a cardigan. However you wear it, it’s a great statement piece to have in your closet. Not to mention navy is such a popular color right now which makes this design even better. I honestly wish I could have this dress in every color!

I wore this dress with Kate Spade flats that are currently sold out, but here is a similar pair. I loved the navy shoes with this dress since the color matched perfectly. You could also wear nude or cream colored shoes as well. Back to the style of this dress, it is a wrap dress which makes it that much more fun to wear. While the Samantha Dress retails for $188, I would definitely say that it’s a great investment piece, even if you don’t normally spend that much on dresses. The material is soft and it can be so hard to find cute and functional dresses, so this is a great option.

Now on to some exciting news… Virginia Dare Dress Co. is offering free shipping on all orders with the code PRETTYINPLAIDS. I hope you all will take advantage of this promo code and get yourself some cute dresses! I will be showing you the Camilla Dress as well, that blog post is coming soon.

One last thing, if you’re not exactly sure which size will fit you, they will send you two sizes for you to try and then you can send one back for free. There are always free returns and exchanges on their dresses. This is so helpful when trying to decide which size will fit, especially because they offer regular and petite sizing. I am wearing a size XS in petite and I am 5’5. The petite option worked best for me, but if you’re not sure, contact them and they will send you an extra size for you to try to ensure that you get the most flattering fit!

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! This is such an honor for me. I have dreamed of this moment and I still can’t believe it actually happened. I wrote a whole blog post that’s live now, so head to the link in my bio to read it! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. You can find the magazine at places like Barnes and Noble, Target, Walmart, etc... all throughout the US and Canada. I can’t wait for you to read it! ❤️
One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ❤️
