A Bundle of Fresh Greenery

December 21, 2020

It’s the week of Christmas! This month has gone by so fast, I can’t even believe it. I am so excited for all of my favorite festive activities to take place. I put together a cozy vignette that would be perfect for any small gathering, or just to make your home more festive! Fresh greens are such a simple way to add so much warmth and coziness to your space. I get them every year and love displaying them around my vignettes, vases, window frames, etc… My arrangement of greens is huge and is sure to be noticed. Displaying a large vase or container with greens is such an easy way to make your home feel welcoming.

Fresh greenery not only gives a festive touch to your Christmas and winter decorations, but it also makes your home smell amazing too! I put a fresh cedar garland on my antique window frame that is up on my wall and I hope to show you very soon! Greens just add that perfect amount of texture to your space. If you can’t do real for whatever reason, there are also several faux options available as well that look quite realistic. I use fresh and faux every year and just love them.

For this vignette, I simply gathered my greens and placed them in a large antique galvanized bucket. I then placed the bucket on one of my favorite painted stools and added some of my plant cutters and a neutral striped tea towel. This was such a simple design and layout, yet it added so much warmth and character to my space. Any vase or bucket will work for this, and with the addition of the greens, it will add the perfect amount of color and texture to your home.

One of my favorite things about this vignette is that is can still be used after Christmas in your winter decor. I always leave my greenery, both faux and real, up all January with my winter decor until I switch everything over to spring. Something as simple as a bundle of greens can last a while if treated correctly prior to being brought indoors.

Another aspect of this vignette that I want to point out is the versatility of my chalk painted projects. I use this stool all the time and I love that it works for all seasons. You can style an endless number of designs using chalk painted projects if you stick to a neutral color scheme, which is why I love this greige color from Jolie Home. It looks great with any other color you add, making it both functional and beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed this simple Christmas decor idea. A bundle of greens is such a great way to incorporate some natural texture and capture attention. This is one of my favorite ways to make it look like I spent all day planning out an arrangement.

I can’t wait to share some more Christmas related posts with you soon! I have several ideas that I am planning out and I can’t wait to share them with you. I hope you all can enjoy this week and spend some quality time with your families. Merry Christmas, sweet friends.

With Love, Em

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
