Merry Christmas! I hope you are all enjoying this day with your families. I am having the best day opening gifts, giving gifts, eating great food, and playing games. While I have some downtime today, I wanted to share this cabinet that I had found a few years ago. It was an awful green, but I knew it could be beautiful if I fixed it up.
Before:
I didn’t like the green color of this cabinet at all, but I thought the design was beautiful. I was debating between either black or white for the exterior of the cabinet and I landed on black. I painted the interior of the cabinet white and I think the end result is perfect for what I wanted.
After:
There is a bit more texture to this cabinet than most of my other pieces. I didn’t bother taking the existing finish off and just painted right over top with Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Coal Black. It isn’t the smoothest finish because I didn’t smooth out any imperfections like usual, but I think it looks great for this style of cabinet.
I mentioned above that I chose a white for the interior, and I think that added some interest for when I open the cabinet door. I debated between white paint and dark stain, but the white added the “brightness” that I wanted.
I think I am actually going to use this cabinet to store all of my paint supplies in. I have so many things to work with so this cabinet will be the perfect spot for everything to keep it all organized.
I look forward to sharing some more posts with you soon. Merry Christmas, sweet friends.
With Love, Em
