I hope you all are having a great start to the week. I have a lot of things starting back up this week after my Christmas break and I am so not ready for it to be over yet. I am excited to be getting some ideas on the blog though. For those of you that have been with me from the beginning, I hit publish on my first blog post in January of 2017. I had actually made my blog in 2016 under a different name, but my first ever blog post was in January, so I am very fond of January being a month of new experiences and adventures. I have a lot of fun ideas for you this year and I am excited to get started on them.
Now, getting on to the point of what this blog post is actually about, I am sharing a new find with you today. I found this beautiful vintage wool plaid skirt recently and for a great price too. I thought it would be perfect for the month of December and also into the new year. I actually don’t stop wearing red plaid after Christmas because I like to bring some color into the new year because it can get a little boring. So, here is a way that you can bring plaid into your wardrobe, even after Christmas.
I wore the plaid skirt with a cozy cream colored cardigan and black tank. I also paired the outfit with some black flats to finish off the look. Keeping my outfits relatively simple is best for me because otherwise I am not comfortable throughout the day. I think this is a cozy outfit that can be worn to any event, especially around the holidays or throughout the winter months.
These shoes finish off the look and are also comfortable too, which can be hard to find. My mom bought these for me for Christmas since I had been looking for some good black flats and they are perfect. They go with everything and the ruffle instantly adds some detail and makes your look so effortless and beautiful.
I hope this was a simple reminder that you can still wear plaid, even after the holidays! After all, plaid makes such a classic statement. Happy New Year, everyone!
With Love, Em
