A Cozy Winter Basket

January 13, 2021

Hello, friends! It has been a little bit since my last blog post. With all of the anxieties of the world right now, I wanted to share some simple winter decor inspiration to hopefully get your mind off of heavy things and get you inspired. I put together a simple winter vignette that would be perfect for after Christmas and all through January or February.

In this vignette, I used a vintage basket, some of my favorite faux greens, and a tea towel. I love to support small businesses and when I saw this towel, I fell in love with it! I love to collect things from neat places that I visit, and usually it’s a t-shirt. I loved the design and soft texture of this towel and thought it would match my decor perfectly, so I went ahead and bought one. This was a nice and easy way to bring some personalization into my decor. Frankenmuth is a fun place that I have visited often with my family and friends, so I thought it would make the perfect addition.

Something as simple as greens in a basket can make a huge statement. Light a candle in the room and you instantly created some warmth and coziness. I wish I could link these greens for you, but they were from the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia Christmas line a couple of years ago. I picked a branch up at full price and then found several on clearance after Christmas that year and I ended up getting the rest for a fraction of the original price. Win!

You can use any greens for a simple basket vignette like this. Go with what you like, whether that be real or faux. I love both, so in the end, it’s really just a matter of opinion on what you choose.

I hope you enjoyed this post and can find a glimpse of happiness amidst all of the chaos going on right now. God is in control, and He loves each and every one of us. He promises to protect and watch over His children, so I hope you can find immense comfort in that truth.

With Love, Em

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?

One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher.
