My Handmade Notecards

April 7, 2021

Hey, friends! I hope you all have been enjoying this beautiful spring weather. It has been in the 70s where I live and I am so here for it. Today I wanted to share some spring inspired notecards that I had made to send to a few of my friends and family members. Ever since I used a wax seal for my handmade Christmas cards this past year, I had been wanting to use it again.

This time, I chose a black craft paper card from Hobby Lobby, some simple twine, and a beautiful green leaf. Pinterest has a ton of great ideas for invitations and I had loved the look of one which had a black envelope and a copper wax seal. I knew I wanted to make some of my own but make it a little bit different. I didn’t have any copper wax, but I did have some of my gold wax left over from my Christmas cards so I was anxious to try it out and see how it looked.

I just love how they turned out. I’m trying to figure out how to make them all a little bit different and I’m not finished with them all yet, so we’ll see how unique I will be able to make them. The black cards look incredible with the gold wax. I also liked how the twine made it a little less formal. I think the twine added some great texture into these notecards.

One of the things that I like about sending cards in the mail is how excited people are to get something handmade. Regular cards are great, but I think the thought and effort that is put into a handmade card is so meaningful. I strive to send cards that are beautiful and memorable, which is why I love to make them myself.

All of these supplies can be found at your local Hobby Lobby. I personally love The Paper Studio brand that they carry. They have beautiful brown craft paper cards as well as black, white, patterned, etc… They also have embellishments and other paper products like gift tags and fun things for your handmade packages.

I hope this post can inspire you if you were looking for a unique way to send a thank you note or just a simple letter of encouragement.

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
