A Cozy Equestrian Winter

December 28, 2025

It has certainly been a while since my last post. Life has been so busy lately and unfortunately for me, that means blogging had to come to an end for a while. However, I am slowly started to get back into it, and what better way to do that than to show you some of my cozy winter decorating for this year.

I started teaching in my first ever classroom this past August! I haven’t been able to blog like I want to, so in 2026, I am going to be making more of an effort to post on here! January is when I first started this blog back in 2017, so I always get excited for a fresh start!

Horses and the Equestrian style have always been so beautiful. While I have no personal connection to the lifestyle of horses or riding, I appreciate the beauty that these magnificent animals have. Something about this style of decorating gives off a classic Ralph Lauren vibe and I am all here for it. Ralph Lauren and the classic English style of interior decorating is one of my favorite styles.

I had found these beautiful horse bookends at one of my favorite antique shops, The Lamb’s Tail, and knew they had to come home with me. I had been scouring Pinterest for equestrian decor inspiration and these fit that aesthetic beautifully.

For this design, I used my window piece that I had painted black and used that as the backdrop. Someone had given this window to me a long time ago and I took all of the glass panels out and painted it white. Later on, I switched it up to black for a better contrast against my off-white walls. Some greenery garland, ornaments, Luminara candles, books, and this vintage horse print really finish off this look.

My mom had found this vintage horse print for me at a thrift store and I immediately knew I wanted it. It brings so much character and warmth to the room. The picture combined with these horse bookends added the perfect amount of equestrian style that I was looking for.

I was so excited to get some more equestrian style decor this year for Christmas! I will hopefully be blogging about them soon. As always, thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to continue on this little blogging journey of mine.

With love,

Emily

It’s hard to move past things that hurt so deeply. I hope you will find peace in this post, because I understand how difficult letting go can be.

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ❤️
