A White Pumpkin and Plaid

October 10, 2018

I put together a little vignette today so I thought I would blog about it. I’ve been playing around with my fall decor and I can’t seem to make up my mind with how I want to keep it. I move things around a lot so this is what I came up with today. As you will see, my new barn door is in the background. šŸ˜Ā I promised a blog post on that and it will be coming soon. I just love it in the space! Adds so much character to an otherwise boring room. I think it looks really good with my light cream walls.

This chippy chair is one of my favorite things to use for added texture. If you’ve been following my blog for any period of time, then you know that I love white chippy paint! I actually got this chair for free from a garage sale and I was so excited. It matches my decor so well and looks great with throw blankets and pillows. I just got this plaid throw blanket from Pottery Barn and I think it’s perfect for fall. I love plaid, hence my name “Pretty in Plaids.” Anytime I see plaid I have to have it and I loved these colors together. This pillow is from Homegoods and I really liked the cable knit look of it as well. I also love that it’s cream so it matches with everything.

I hope this gave you a little inspiration if you were still looking for some ideas on how to decorate for fall! I love this neutral look and hope you do too. I have a lot of fun fall blog posts planned and I can’t wait to get started on them!

To the girl that can’t let it go, I hear you. I wr To the girl that can’t let it go, I hear you. I wrote a new blog post just for you, up on prettyinplaids.com now. ā¤ļø Forgiveness is hard. It’s hard to move past things that hurt so deeply. I hope you will find peace in this post, because I understand how difficult letting go can be.

In other news, I’m feeling so pampered after meeting up with a friend to get a mani/pedi. I don’t do it often, but I just love getting my nails done. Having pretty nails makes me feel so confident. What have you done recently that makes you feel confident?
I was published in a national magazine! I have bee I was published in a national magazine! I have been keeping it a little secret from Instagram for a couple days, but one of my chalk paint projects was published in the June/July issue of @countrywomanmagazine! This is such an honor for me. I have dreamed of this moment and I still can’t believe it actually happened. I wrote a whole blog post that’s live now, so head to the link in my bio to read it! I am so grateful to have this space to share my ideas and designs, and to you all who support me along the way. You can find the magazine at places like Barnes and Noble, Target, Walmart, etc... all throughout the US and Canada. I can’t wait for you to read it! ā¤ļø
One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging ha One of my absolute favorite aspects of blogging has to be building relationships with brands that I have grown to love. @coppercure is one of my favorite shops for my love of copper and they were so generous to gift me with this pitcher. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful. I threw together a copper styling guide on the blog today and would love for you to check it out! The link is in my bio. ā¤ļø
